For those of you who had been planning to go to the New York or New Jersey shows, you probably recieved something along the lines of the following in an email regarding the cancellation. What do you think? Will they push for a February release? Will the Fairly Odd Parents movie be out early next year? We can all hope!According to artist management, "Drake's recording schedule for his upcoming February release makes it impossible to perform the shows in Chautauqua and Red Bank. We hope to reschedule these dates next year when his new record is out and he will have a movie in the US out as well. Thank you for your understanding in this matter."

i think that fairly odd parents will be out in febuary because hes filming that now and it'll take months to edit and produce the final picture. but i might be wrong

No, it is clear that it means his album in February. "recording schedule for his upcoming release." Why would they mean movie release when they cite the recording schedule as the problem?

Plus, this venue is concerned with his music, not his acting. They added the movie as an afterthought in the statement.

Is his album coming out in February or not?

On the 24th, Nickelodeon will be at Comic-Con and we should get more details about the TV movie then. Remember Merry Xmas D and J was filmed later than this in the year and it aired at Christmas.

everyone has said that his album was almost done. remember that vampire web things he was in a few months ago? that interveiw was put up on here and when they talked about drake they said " he is working on an album he is almost done with" if he is almost done y would it come out in FEBRUARY??

they were referring to both the movie AND the album as coming out sometime next year.

They said the album was almost done then....yet we have heard TWO versions of Our Love since. Obviously, Drake is still editing songs. And by the time he is done with that, then they produce the physical CDs, it very well could be February, if not later.

Aw, I was really hoping for his album. Its weird how 2 of the singers who I want their new CD, their CD release date keeps getting postponed. hmm.
One is Drake Bell... I hope the CD comes out first because we've been waiting longer for it :( I want to see him in the movie too though. I really don't know. We're just going to have to wait and see some more.

I think we should be pacient with him, remember he has been doing other projects as well, (the fairy odd parents movie, he came to mexico, he had an appearance in I<3vampires, the thirst project, kids choice awards, his live chat is still waiting) man he needs time too! As well he had to celebrate as best as he can his 24th birthday, he has said he is learning lots of things while recording this album and he wants to give us the best product he can and @Drew said he is still editing and remember it's not only about the music, he needs to choose a front, a photoshoot, and promotionals. Let's show Drake OUR LOVE(: and continue supporting him!<3

Everybody arantxaXas has a point! Bu then again, he has been working on this album since late 2007!! I think that's been enough time to make all the music, edit it, find promotionals, and a front. But I guess you're right. We're just going to have to be patient. There is nothing else we can do.

actually @DaltonTibbs he hasn't work on it since 2008 remember the summer tour in 2007 and filing superhero movie and doing a voice over for the nutty professor so he never had time in 2007.

@alex If you remember the CJ Abraham interview a while back, Drake and Mike only had three songs written by January of 2009. So, really they've only been working on the album since early 09. Also, he filmed Flying Tigers and some other film that never made it to theaters in 2008. We have been waiting nearly 4 years, but he's only worked on the album for about 1.5-2. I kinda wish he would focus more on music, and give up some of the movie roles. But everyone has to pay bills I guess :)

@holly yea and CJ said that as of January 2009 they only had 3 songs. At the time of the interview they had 16 album ready and about 30-40 total.

In other words, most of the songs have been written since Jan of 09. Which proves what I originally said, that this album has been in full swing productions for only a 1.5 years.

Guys! please let me tell you Drake IS working his ass off to get this record out, and he is equally if not more frustrated upset and angry about the delays in releasing it as all of you are, he is well aware how many people he is dissapointed right now but unfortanately some parts of producitng a record aswell as switching from one label to another tend to slow down and hold up the actual releasing of the record. he has a few more than 16 songs ready to go guys dont wory, as soon as its 'allowed' out it will be out.

there will be 20 songs on the CD , we know only 11 actually , so it's gonna take some time again ...
