The music video for "Our Love" has popped up online! Thanks to Walter May, the director, for posting it on his Vimeo. Check it out below. What do you all think? Just like Drake said before, the flashlight art is awesome. |

I guess I'll be the first, but I'm not to impressed with the video, honestly. I think they could have done a better job telling a story with it, rather than randomly showing the girl (and I mean showing! lol). Still, love the song and love Drake....just think he should have had a better director for this. (my opinion anyway). by Drew @ 18 Jul 2010 06:28 pm

Yeah, I agree with Drew. The song tells a story, and it would've been better to have a storyline in the video, rather than just Drake playing guitar with a girl next to him and words in lights. Seemed a bit bland and empty to me.
Anyway, yeah, I too, like Drew, also noticed the minor instrumental and vocal differences in this version than the version that was released on Drake Bell Radio.
I guess we'll only really know when we hear the album what each song will sound like.
Anyway, I'm glad their is a video all the same

yh i think the video was gd and yh i do have to agree tht they was just showing the girl and drake playing the guitor and they should of made it abit more like a story and instead of just drake standing round but u never know drake mite of wanted it tht way and they dude just filmed what ever drake wanted xx but i still totally love the song and love drake tht will never change xxx by cfduncan @ 19 Jul 2010 07:50 am

I never noticed the difference of this song and the other version of it. I'm giong to check it out. But yeah, I kind of agree with most of you about it not being that much story in the video. And how come they keep showing a girl like that?? But I'd rather see that than all the worse stuff other people do in their music videos! This isn't even that bad. But I thought the video would've been more of a story too. I still like the video though and the song. The song is what matters more in my opinion. by DaltonTibbs @ 20 Jul 2010 09:37 am

I guess we shouldn't make a big deal about the girl, I mean we're talking about a video of a 24th years artist. In my opinion the important part of this is Drake's music, and each of us agree that the song is amazing.Maybe he could do a greater job with the story of the video but he hasn't said anything about it so he can still change whatever he want haha by Drew @ 20 Jul 2010 11:43 pm

Yea Kev, I think that is our point. This video isn't as good as we were hoping, but we love his music more than a video. I think we all realize that Drake is doing this album all on his own and so the marketable parts of it won't be as strong as It's Only Time was. But what really matters, the music, will be the best yet from Drake! by arantxaCas @ 22 Jul 2010 03:53 pm
Wow, nevermind about Drake and his management paying the video from his own pocket, I guess that's the reason for the label of the video and wouldn't be fair for them just to hear the critics while them are doing their best, anyway the song is sure amazing! And the video is not bad, I mean the flashlight art was great! Anyway we all continue waiting excited for the new album wich is the important thing(: by Sonya @ 22 Jul 2010 04:31 pm
You know how he sings "She came from the Old North State...Land of the long leaf pine.." , well I never knew where this was so I searched it in google. It came up with many results saying North Carolina. I am just saying this because it is interesting. So he saying that the girl came from North Carolina. I think. I wonder who it is, but anyways this is just something fun to think about :) by carly @ 22 Jul 2010 05:39 pm
Well Sonya, Drake's ex-girlfriend Melissa (Lingafelt) is actually from North Carolina. The song may or may not be about her, but that's really only Drake's business on whom the song is based off of. Besides, it's not important on who the song is about. What's important is how the song affects someone personally (in my opinion anyway). by carly @ 22 Jul 2010 05:45 pm
